The Moose is built on coming together — celebrating life, strengthening friendships, and caring for one another. At its heart, the organization is about service: supporting children who need a fresh start, giving back to our communities, and standing beside our senior members with dignity and respect as they enter their later years.
Across more than 1,500 communities throughout the United States, Canada, and beyond, the Moose Fraternity makes a meaningful impact. Members proudly support Mooseheart, a residential community and school providing care and opportunity for children from infancy through high school, as well as Moosehaven, a nationally recognized retirement community for senior members in Florida. Together, lodges also contribute millions of dollars in service and support to the communities they call home each year.
At the local level, Moose lodges are places to connect, relax, and belong. Members and families enjoy a wide range of activities — from social gatherings and holiday events to dinners, entertainment, sports, and special celebrations. Whether you’re looking to get involved or simply enjoy time together, there’s always something happening at the Moose.
Mooseheart is a residential childcare community located on a 1,000-acre campus west of Chicago. Known as the “Child City,” it provides a safe, supportive home for children and teens from infancy through high school. Founded in 1913, Mooseheart offers a stable, nurturing environment where young people can grow, learn, and build a strong foundation for the future.
Moosehaven is a private retirement community for members age 65 and older, located along the St. Johns River in Orange Park, Florida. It offers a secure, comfortable setting with supportive services and opportunities for connection. Since 1922, Moosehaven has provided a welcoming community where members can enjoy peace of mind throughout their retirement years.
Moose Charities is the philanthropic foundation of the Moose Fraternity, dedicated to supporting its humanitarian mission. Through charitable giving, it helps fund Mooseheart, Moosehaven, and programs that strengthen families and communities. As a registered nonprofit, Moose Charities ensures these resources are responsibly managed to support the long-term care and services provided by the Moose.
